EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
A variety of extracurricular activities occur at our school from year to year. Team sports have included basketball, indoor and outdoor soccer. Cross-country in the early fall and spring are popular activities for primary and intermediate students. Floor hockey may be played year round.
Other activities may include drama club, choir, chess club and peer helping program, depending on adult supervisors’ availability.  LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
A large variety of leadership opportunities occur at Sooke Elementary. We particularly encourage our intermediate students to take on a job for part of the school year. Monitors’ jobs are varied and range from helping in the office, lunchroom, serving hot lunch, collecting trays, putting up the flag, setting up the gym for special assemblies, setting up sound equipment and recycling.
