Welcome to Sooke Elementary School. We are a Kindergarten to Grade 5 school dedicated to supporting our students and ensuring that learning flourishes everyday. Our school is located in a most beautiful location, with ocean views, a brand-new playground (Thanks to our dedicated PAC!) and the best playing field around! In addition to taking great care to ensure curriculum is taught and academic needs are met, staff and students value and practice healthy eating and active living.
At Sooke Elementary, we practice the 5 Essential Habits; be friendly, be polite, be respectful, be responsible and be safe. We strive to meet the needs of all our students and welcome on-going communication between home and school.
Our school goal is to foster and increase parental involvement at all grade levels. Some of the strategies we have in place are our weekly "Making Connections" where parents and friends get together every Tuesday in our Multi-purpose room to have coffee and share. We are also in theplanning stages of developing a parent volunteer reading support group to provide extra literacy support to some of our students.
As our school year unfolds, we hope all students, staff and families learn exciting things, make new friends and enjoy everyday at Sooke Elementary!
